Estudo de caso - perfil epidemiológico da Leishmaniose visceral no município de João Monlevade de 2015 a 2018

Abstract

As Leishmanioses são zoonoses de grande importância para a saúde pública no Brasil, e estão amplamente distribuídas por todo o território nacional. Devido ao processo de urbanização, as leishmanioses que eram predominantemente rurais estão passando por um processo de urbanização crescente. O presente trabalho tem por objetivo fazer uma pesquisa regional no município de João Monlevade da leishmaniose visceral (LV) e suas características no cão e em humanos, incluindo epidemiologia, distribuição geográfica, agente etiológico, vetores, espécies envolvidas, modo de transmissão, manifestações clínicas, meios de diagnóstico, tratamentos convencionais, profilaxia e controle.
