Abstract

Las Buenas Prácticas Agrícolas (BPA) son normas y recomendaciones técnicas aplicadas a los métodos de producción, procesamiento y transporte de alimentos a fin de proteger la salud humana y el medio ambiente. La importancia de las Buenas Prácticas Agrícolas (BPA) permite proveer a los consumidores alimentos sanos, saludable cumpliendo con las normas técnicas y certificaciones requeridas para ingresar a los mercados internacionales. Las Buenas Prácticas Agrícolas (BPA) sirven para que los procesos de fabricación de los productos sean rigurosamente aplicados en cuanto a la clasificación de la frutas, lavados, manipuleo, entre otros. Las Buenas Prácticas Agrícolas (BPA) sirven para evitar enfermedades transmitidas por alimentos (ETA) debido que ciertas empresas no aplican las normas adecuadas en el proceso de fabricación de los productos a consumir. Actualmente la Agencia Ecuatoriana de Aseguramiento de la Calidad del AGRO - AGROCALIDAD regula estas normas para proteger al consumidor final y medio ambiente.
