Abstract

Este artigo tem como objeto de análise a história colonial e sua respectiva herança nas nações brasileira e estadunidense. Nosso objetivo é investigar até que ponto o catolicismo lusitano e o protestantismo inglês influenciaram no desdobrar político-econômico de suas colônias, que posteriormente tornaram-se nações independentes politicamente, mas ainda com fortes influências dessas tradições religiosas e sociais.
