Análisis de la previsión de los precios del café arábica en Brasil

Abstract

La producción del café representa una importante actividad agrícola para la economía brasilera a nivel global y local, resaltando su capacidad exportadora. Se considera la representatividad de este cultivo agrícola, el presente trabajo tiene como objetivo la elaboración de un modelo que pueda estimar el precio interno del café en Brasil, a través de la utilización de la metodología Box y Jenkins, en observaciones mensuales, del periodo de enero del 2012 a diciembre del 2016. Los resultados obtenidos indicaron que el modelo se mostró adecuado para efectuar las previsiones del precio del café en Brasil fue el ARIMA.
