Abstract

La industria alimentaria en el Ecuador constituye una de las más importantes, ya que los alimentos son productos de consumo masivo y el cliente quiere siempre encontrar, calidad y precios justos. Este sector ofrece a los consumidores un número ilimitado de alimentos pero no todos cuentan con un cuadro nutricional adecuado para los consumidores; así por ejemplo, algunos productos contienen demasiados colorantes y preservantes que ocasionan problemas en la salud. Por esto se deben tomar decisiones importantes con respecto a la nutrición que incidan en el mejoramiento de la salud de toda la población, en especial en niños.
