Identidades quilombolas no município de Capelinha, Minas Gerais – Brasil

Abstract

Esse artigo tem como objetivo analisar as identidades quilombolas do município de Capelinha, Estado de Minas Gerais, no Vale do Rio Jequitinhonha. O agrupamento estudado é (re)conhecida atualmente como comunidade Quilombola do Santo Antônio do Fanado. O nosso principal objetivo é investigar as identidades quilombolas existentes no município de Capelinha. Em nosso estudo, analisaremos os procedimentos legais para o reconhecimento da identidade quilombola. Averiguaremos os caminhos percorridos por essa comunidade para alcançar o seu reconhecimento. Em certa medida, também verificaremos a perpetuação intergeracional das tradições afro-brasileiras nessa povoação.
