Perfil econômico e social dos estudantes de cursos superiores de tecnologia em instituições particulares de ensino

Abstract

O presente artigo tem por objetivo refletir e debater as características econômicas e sociais dos estudantes de cursos superiores de tecnologia, de faculdades tecnológicas particulares, localizadas na região metropolitana da grande Vitória, no estado do Espírito Santo, Brasil. Os dados são resultantes de uma pesquisa efetuada no ano de 2010, em instituições nos municípios de Vitória e Guarapari. Constatou-se que os estudantes são majoritariamente jovens, em busca de uma colocação ou um novo posicionamento no mundo do trabalho, e já apresentam alguma experiência profissional. Verificou-se que a crise financeira dos anos de 2008 e 2009 teve pouca influência nos estudantes.
