La Producciã“N De Trigo En Tlaxcala, Mã‰Xico ¿Impulsor Del Desarrollo Local?

Abstract

El objetivo del presente trabajo fue determinar la importancia de la producción de trigo en la construcción del territorio y como impulsor del desarrollo local en el estado de Tlaxcala, México. Asimismo, conocer la racionalidad con la cual se rigen los productores para continuar esta actividad. Los resultados muestran que Tlaxcala es el principal productor de trigo bajo condiciones de temporal a nivel nacional, debido en gran parte a que la racionalidad de los productores se fundamenta en la facilidad de las prácticas de cultivo lo que les permite efectuar otras actividades agrícolas y no agrícolas que incrementen sus ingresos, así como su capacidad de adaptación en sus prácticas agrícolas acorde al medio agroecológico, social y económico. Con base a lo anterior, es evidente que la cultura expresada en la racionalidad del productor es elemento importante para aportar en el desarrollo local, sin embargo se carece de políticas que lo potencialicen.
