Conocimiento Tradicional En La Producciã“N Y Comercializaciã“N De Productos Agrã Colas En El Valle De Puebla

Abstract

Ante lo urgente de atender los problemas ligados a la seguridad alimentaria, es importante considerar el conocimiento tradicional de las poblaciones rurales e indígenas, como una alternativa viable de subsistencia. Este conocimiento representa la evolución a través de generaciones, de prácticas ambientales, económicas y socioculturales. La investigación realizada fue de tipo social- descriptiva, se aplicaron encuestas y entrevistas a pequeños agricultores e informantes clave de dos mercados del valle de Puebla. Los resultados revelan la presencia de sistemas tradicionales de producción y comercialización de productos agrícolas; con semejanzas entre ambos mercados en el uso del sistema de trueque y diversificación de sistemas de producción, y diferencias en la modalidad más importante bajo la cual se producen los cultivos tradicionales (intercalado en San Martín Texmelucan y policultivo en Atlixco), y en los ingresos brutos reportados (entre 0.9-1.6 salarios mínimos diarios en San Martín Texmelucan y 1.8 en Atlixco).
