A desigualdade de gênero no Brasil e o compromisso com a agenda 2030

Abstract

A redução das desigualdades é um tema que permeia vários objetivos da Agenda 2030. Dada a natureza multidimensional do problema é apropriado usar índices compostos para monitorar sua evolução. Neste artigo foi realizada uma pesquisa descritiva da desigualdade de gênero no Brasil, com uma abordagem quantitativa. Foi calculado o à ndice de Desenvolvimento por Gênero (GDI) para o Brasil e suas Unidades Federativas para os anos 2000 e 2010. A análise dos resultados começou comparando a evolução do GDI com o à ndice de Desenvolvimento Humano. Uma análise detalhada da evolução do GDI, e suas componentes, para os estados brasileiros permitiu identificar na renda o principal obstáculo para alcançar a igualdade entre homens e mulheres no Brasil.
