Abstract

Este Trabalho discute a representação cultural religiosa afro-brasileira na fronteira e sua representação simbólica dentro do sistema religioso em Foz do Iguaçu – Paraná. O interesse pela cultura afro-brasileira na fronteira de Foz do Iguaçu manifesta-se pelos muitos estudos nos campo da Sociologia, Antropologia, Etnologia, Música, Linguística, História, entre outros campos de conhecimentos, centrados na expressão e no desenvolvimento histórico desta cultura. Tendo por objetivo analisar o processo de religiosidade enquanto elemento simbólico e político, na construção de territorialidade e identidade coletiva articulada, a movimentos sociais e espaços de poder em ambiente de fronteira. Para a construção deste trabalho de pesquisa bibliográfica e documental, os conceitos do assunto proposto serão embasadores nas discussões sobre cultura, etnicidade e fronteiras.
