Sustentabilidade ambiental: produção de hortaliças na várzea amazônica

Abstract

O presente trabalho objetivou apresentar a forma de agricultura familiar praticada em ecossistema de várzea na região do Baixo Amazonas, no município de Parintins, estado do Amazonas; atividade que é transmitida de maneira informal através das gerações, recebendo muito pouca inovação tecnológica do exterior da comunidade, uma atividade baseada nos princípios da sustentabilidade e educação ambiental. O estudo se desenvolveu a partir da observação direta das atividades laborais e a forma de gestão organizacional desenvolvidas nas unidades familiares de produção e procurou perceber qual o impacto da atividade para a vida econômica, social e ambiental dessa comunidade humana de ribeirinhos da várzea amazônica.
