Fatores determinantes do desenvolvimento rural na Amazônia brasileira

Abstract

Objetivou-se traçar os principais fatores determinantes do desenvolvimento rural dos municípios da Amazônia brasileira. Para tanto, foi utilizado um conjunto de 28 indicadores de desenvolvimento rural e submetidos ao procedimento de análise fatorial por componentes principais. Como resultado foram extraídos 7 fatores latentes de desenvolvimento rural, representando 72,82% da variância total acumulada. O tamanho da população, condições básicas de infraestrutura domiciliar, trabalho agrícola, uso do solo, pobreza rural, produção e renda agrícola foram os principais determinantes e que mais impactaram no desenvolvimento rural dos municípios nortistas. Ressalta-se ainda que o indicador ambiental da área de preservação permanente e reserva legal formou um único fator determinante com a maior variância acumulada de 4,99%, a maior entre os demais, reforçando a importância da preservação ambiental como condição de desenvolvimento.
