Avaliação local da educação básica municipal: alternativas e novas possibilidades

Abstract

O estudo objetivou avaliar o sistema municipal de educação de Una, no sul da Bahia. Buscaram-se identificar determinantes da qualidade da escola pública. Utilizou-se de estatística descritiva e análise multivariada. O modelo, formado a partir de quatro dimensões – aluno, escola, gestão escolar e docência – permitiu a criação de um à ndice de Determinantes de Qualidade da Escola Pública – IDQEP, que varia de zero a um, e cujo valor médio no município foi de 0,6750. As escolas do campo apresentaram desempenho superior às urbanas, assim como as turmas de 5º ano sobre as do 9º ano. As variáveis representativas de maior correlação com o desempenho dos estudantes foram: aprendizagem do aluno, formação docente, integração escola-comunidade, alimentação escolar e ações e atitudes pedagógicas da escola. Verificou-se também forte correlação entre os resultados dos testes de português e matemática.
