La gestión de calidad y la rentabilidad de las empresas del sub sector comercial. Caso Quito-Ecuador

Abstract

Esta investigación mostró el grado de relación existente entre la gestión de calidad y la rentabilidad de las empresas del subsector comercial, caso Quito-Ecuador. Para el desarrollo de la investigación se aplicaron indicadores financieros a los estados financieros obtenidos de la Superintendencia de Compañías. De esta manera se obtuvo resultados que ayudaron a establecer ideas acerca del entorno de la problemática existente: la disminución de calidad en los productos ofertados por las empresas del subsector comercial de la ciudad de Quito. El propósito de la investigación fue identificar las falencias producidas por no gestionar la calidad, como por ejemplo pasivos elevados y un decrecimiento en el volumen de ventas, lo cual puede reducir la rentabilidad. Se aplicaron indicadores de retorno sobre fondos propios, retorno sobre activos, margen de utilidad neta, prueba ácida e índice de endeudamiento.
