Midiatização religiosa: estudo de caso da Igreja Onda Dura (SC/Brasil)

Abstract

O estudo analisa a midiatização da religião através dos conceitos dos autores Luiz Braga (2012) e Stig Hjarvard (2014), junto com o conceito de sociedades complexas por Gilberto Velho e Eduardo Viveiros De Castro (1978), apresentando como objeto de pesquisa a comunicação midiatizada de maneira online pela igreja Onda Dura, fundada em 2007, na cidade de Joinville no Estado de Santa Catarina, e que conta com mais de 160 mil seguidores na mídia digital Facebook e 101 mil inscritos no canal de vídeos YouTube. Metodologicamente, trata-se de um estudo teórico-empírico, desenvolvido por revisão de literatura e estudo de caso. A pesquisa aponta que a comunicação da Onda Dura está pulverizada em diversos dispositivos midiáticos, como uma forma de diversificar e ampliar a audiência, com mídias menos onerosas que as tradicionais (TV, rádio, jornal). A iniciativa facilita o engajamento do público jovem pertencente a grandes centros urbanos.
