Educación social y convivencia escolar: complementos imprescindibles para educar

Abstract

La realidad educativa que se vive en el siglo XXI nos exige prestar especial atención a los temas relacionados con la convivencia y las relaciones sociales en el aula. Es por ello, que el interés del presente trabajo se centra en conceptualizar y conocer distintas problemáticas que afectan la educación social y la manera en la que el educador puede influir en la solución de estas problemáticas. En síntesis, la escuela tiene la necesidad de incorporar docentes que apuesten por una educación que vaya más allá de la formación académica y que apueste por la transmisión de valores de igualdad, justicia, respeto y tolerancia, es decir, una educación que parta de la convivencia armónica y donde lejos de escapar del conflicto, se aprenda a subsanarlo.
