El interaccionismo simbólico y sus aportes a la teoría social contemporánea

Abstract

Este artículo tiene como propósito básico exponer las principales premisas teóricas y metodológicas de la corriente estadounidense de microsociología acuñada por Blumer con el nombre de “interaccionismo simbólico†. También se destacan dos de los aportes que el interaccionismo simbólico ha contribuido a la teoría social contemporánea: los aportes a los movimientos sociales y a las teorías de la organización. El artículo se estructura en los siguientes temas: 1) Principales raíces teóricas. 2) Representantes. 3) Principios y conceptos básicos. 4) Aspectos metodológicos. 5) Aportes del interaccionismo simbólico.
