Histórias de Foz do Iguaçu: aquisição de alimentos além-fronteira

Abstract

Neste artigo sobre histórias de Foz do Iguaçu, objetiva-se registrar e discutir a aquisição de alimentos além-fronteira, por meio de narrativas de pescadores de Foz do Iguaçu. Foram analisadas entrevistas de três pescadores, sendo a metodologia utilizada para esta pesquisa a história oral temática. O recorte temporal leva em consideração o período da chegada dos entrevistados à Foz do Iguaçu entre as décadas de 1950 e 1970, anterior à construção da Usina de Itaipu, ao qual retrata memórias de um período com muitas dificuldades, que provocou interferências nas dinâmicas fronteiriças, como a aquisição de alimentos além-fronteira. Ademais das entrevistas, este estudo ampara-se em material bibliográfico para refletir sobre a alimentação (Santos,1995; Cascudo, 2004), histórico de Foz do Iguaçu (Colodel, 1992; Lima, 2010; Myskiw 2011) e fronteiras (Grimson, 2002, Albuquerque, 2011; Cardin, 2016). A partir das narrativas e bibliografias utilizadas aspira-se contribuir com reflexões sobre a história da alimentação de Foz do Iguaçu e sobre as fronteiras materiais e simbólicas envoltas às práticas alimentares.
