O método qualitativo e a abordagem fenomenológica: características e afinidades

Abstract

Foi preciso muitos séculos para que os grandes pensadores científicos começassem a reconhecer que as ciências humanas e as ciências naturais fossem consideradas como ciências complementares. As ciências que retratam a subjetividade humana desenvolveram consigo uma variedade de abordagens de pesquisa para atender a diversidade dos aspectos qualitativos diante dos fenômenos que ocorrem na vida cotidiana. Partindo da concepção da pesquisa qualitativa como um meio de compreensão dos processos históricos, sociais e, especialmente, subjetivos, este artigo tem por finalidade descrever o método qualitativo e a abordagem fenomenológica compreendendo suas características e afinidades existentes.
