A Copa Do Mundo De Futebol Fifa 2014: Estudo Comparativo Entre Pr㉠E Pã“S Evento Na Regiãƒo Metropolitana De Porto Alegre, Rs, Brasil

Abstract

O objetivo deste estudo foi identificar o que foi planejado no pré-evento, e o que realmente foi concluído no município de Porto Alegre, uma das cidades-sedes, antes do início da Copa do Mundo de Futebol FIFA 2014. A análise é feita desde obras principalmente de mobilidade urbana, de infraestrutura, até estimativas de turistas. A pesquisa foi do tipo descritiva exploratória com revisão bibliográfica e pesquisa documental. Como principais resultados destacamos que de quatorze obras propostas no planejamento estratégico de Porto Alegre para a Copa do Mundo de Futebol FIFA 2014, apenas cinco foram entregues no prazo. Nesse sentindo é importante destacar que investimentos desse porte não aconteciam na capital gaúcha há anos, e que apesar de não terem sido entregues todas as obras, melhorias na qualidade de vida, principalmente da comunidade local, aumento da demanda por serviços considerados turísticos, contribuindo assim para uma maior divulgação do estado, foram destaques encontrados nessa proposta de trabalho.
