Abstract

o turismo visto numa perspectiva muldisciplinar e fragmentada em nada contribui para a construção de um conhecimento científico alinhado a complexidade atingida pela atividade nas últimas décadas. Uma exigência cada vez mais discutida é a necessidade de se encontrar métodos e paradigmas que sejam estruturados numa perspectiva multi-interdisciplinar. A Teoria Geral de Sistemas (TGS) pode ser uma das possibilidades reais existentes para análise do movimento turístico. Essa proposta de artigo está pautada numa revisão bibliográfica sobre a TGS e seu uso em estudos turísticos. O método é estritamente bibliográfico e busca referenciar a TGS nas escolas mexicana, espanhola e brasileira, na tentativa de aproximar o leitor do cenário de estudos e possibilidades de uso da TGS como paradigma no turismo.
