Los impactos de la ciencia y la tecnología en la rehabilitación cardiovascular

Abstract

La comprensión social por el desarrollo técnico científico ayuda a que los conocimientos que se generan, puedan atender apropiadamente los problemas humanos y sociales más relevantes de todos. Actualmente Ecuador como los demás gobiernos a nivel mundial, invierten millones de dólares en salud, no obstante, uno de los problemas más graves que enfrentan los seres humanos, es el alarmante crecimiento de morbimortalidad debido a las enfermedades cardiovasculares. Los aportes y beneficios para la población ecuatoriana que padecen de estas patologías, aún son mínimos y es que la ciencia y la tecnología aún no prestan su contingente de manera precisa para aplicar por una parte, programas específicos de rehabilitación que mitiguen el auge de las enfermedades cardiovasculares y por otra, un sistema de capacitación en rehabilitación cardiovascular, que permita dirigir efectivamente el proceso terapéutico, con habilidades comunicativas, motivacionales y psicosociales de calidad. Estos cambios deben ser direccionados e interiorizados de forma integral, abordando no solo la parte física, sino también la cognitiva, conductual y emocional.
