La discalculia y el aprendizaje de las matemáticas

Abstract

El aprendizaje de las matemáticas por parte de los estudiantes en especial en la etapa escolar debe ser considerado como imprescindible en cuento al logro de las habilidades de razonamiento, análisis e interpretación de los diferentes procesos matemáticos considerando el avance tecnológico y el ritmo acelerado de la sociedad, la misma que exige cada vez más estudiantes competentes, reflexivos y analíticos que desarrollen la lógica en los diferentes situaciones de la vida cotidiana. La discalculia es un trastorno que se encuentra presente en estudiantes con dificultades en la manipulación de números, en los procesos cognitivos como la secuenciación, sistematización y deducción de procesos matemáticos afectando así su avance normal y fructífero en el proceso educativo en el que se encuentre.
