Diferencia entre el trastorno por déficit de atención/ hiperactividad (TDAH) y los trastornos del lenguaje

Abstract

El Trastorno por Déficit de Atención/Hiperactividad (TDAH) es un trastorno que provoca dificultades para mantener la atención, la función ejecutiva y la memoria de trabajo. Los trastornos del lenguaje configuran un grupo de alteraciones en el desarrollo, caracterizadas principalmente por déficit en la comprensión, producción y uso del lenguaje; los trastorno del lenguaje puede presentar desarrollo deficiente de la comprensión o de la producción del mismo; ambos alteraciones pertenecen a los trastornos del neurodesarrollo. En este artículo se recoge información de las principales características del TDAH, los trastornos del lenguaje, el proceso de desarrollo normal del lenguaje y se acompaña una descripción del perfil evolutivo del TDAH. Se presenta, características y evolución del neurodesarrollo infantil normal, con la finalidad de identificar oportunamente la sospecha de una alteración de desarrollo neurológico, todo profesional de la salud que atiende niños deberá alertar oportunamente a los padres para la búsqueda de la terapia adecuada.
