Análisis descriptivo de base de datos relacional y no relacional

Abstract

El presente artículo es un análisis descriptivo de los modelos de bases de datos relacionales y no relacionales, además brinda un enfoque basado en las características propias de cada modelo para que los lectores tengan un argumento inicial para tomar la decisión a la hora de implementar un sistema. Por otra parte, se incluye una comparativa de los modelos desde el punto de vista de motor de base de datos sin tomar en cuenta las características propias que los motores que han sido desarrolladas por su proveedor. Por último, se presenta una serie de criterios basados en las experiencias de los autores a la hora de utilizar los modelos. Este documento no pretende ser un estudio comparativo del modelo relacional versus el modelo no relacional, todo lo contrario, lo que se pretende es tener una herramienta que ayude al programador a tomar una decisión en el momento de realizar un proyecto de software.
