Impactos das diferenças socioeconômicas sobre o rendimento educacional no Brasil

Abstract

El principal objetivo de este artículo es analizar los impactos de las diferencias socioeconómicas sobre el rendimiento educativo de los jóvenes brasileños en las áreas de las Ciencias, Lectura y matemáticas. Se utilizó la técnica de Regresiones cuantil (MRQ) para obtener las estimaciones para los diferentes cuartiles de la población. Con base en los resultados obtenidos se puede concluir que las diferencias en las condiciones socioeconómicas son más importantes que las diferencias en los recursos escolares cuando se trata de explicar la desigualdad en el rendimiento educativo. De este modo, las inversiones en escuelas a tiempo completo, en el entrenamiento de profesores y en la modernización de equipamientos de las escuelas, son fundamentales para la mejora de la educación en Brasil.
