Abstract

El artículo hace uso de la regresión logística para determinar qué factores tienen mayor influencia en la elección de una universidad para la obtención de un título de tercer nivel. La variable dependiente asume dos opciones, selección de la Universidad Tecnológica Equinoccial y selección de cualquier otra universidad del territorio de Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas o fuera de él. Fueron utilizadas cinco variables independientes de las cuales, educación superior que prefiere, el horario de estudio y la categoría del colegio de procedencia fueron aquellas que ejercen mayor influencia en la selección de la universidad.
