Abstract

La diversidad escolar se expresa de diferentes maneras: ideas previas, estilos y ritmos de aprendizaje, formas de progreso, motivaciones e intereses, capacidades y nivel evolutivo. Su reconocimiento es el punto de partida para el desarrollo de una pedagogía de la diversidad y para evitar que las diferencias se conviertan en desigualdades y desventajas entre el alumnado. Ante este reto el maestro, no siempre sabe qué hacer y la escuela en sentido general se puede convertir en una institución educativa que reproduzca las desigualdades sociales.
