Abstract

Que relação podemos estabelecer na sociedade atual entre o pensamento ético e o pensamento educacional? Numa sociedade que valoriza o primado a técnica em detrimento à ética, certamente o magnnífico texto do Professor Renato Johann merece pertinência. Sua análise, que trata da busca de uma aproximação entre educação e ética, constitui-se no trabalho de conclusão do curso de doutorado em Educação, na Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul. Assim, é comum que essas pesquisas, dado ao nível de sua exigência com vistas ao fim a que se destinam, se transformem em obras acadêmicas densas e, muitas vezes, inacessíveis ao grande público. A obra que aqui se apresenta, desafiando o academicismo, reflete a temática de forma simples, compreensível e de fácil leitura, sem perda do aprofundamento que as questões éticas exigem.
