El alivianamiento en el tapial

Abstract

La tierra apisonada o tapial como lo denominan, es una práctica vernácula heredada y desarrollada, especialmente, en las zonas templadas y frías de Latinoamérica. En esta investigación abordamos, en primer lugar, la determinación de la tierra adecuada para la construcción de tapiales tradicionales; luego de la selección del material adecuado, comparamos con 9 variaciones con el propósito de reducir el peso y determinar su comportamiento. Finalmente, según los resultados, proponemos el rescate de la técnica del tapial con el aliviamiento de muros y nuevo elementos para ahorrar material.
