Proceso de asimilación de los inmigrantes en México

Abstract

La finalidad de este trabajo es identificar los factores que condicionan el proceso de asimilación de los inmigrantes. Al examinar la tendencia de los salarios que el inmigrante reciente obtiene conforme aumenta su tiempo de residencia en algún estado, será posible determinar si la información acumulada por los inmigrantes influye sobre las ganancias obtenidas en el estado al que llegan. La técnica que se ha utilizado -conocida como Eficiencia Técnica- es la más apropiada para realizar el análisis. Los resultados demuestran que no sólo los años de residencia sino también los años de escolaridad contribuyen en el proceso de asimilación de los inmigrantes.
