Efectos del cambio de poder en el sector manufacturero de México

Abstract

El propósito de este artículo es establecer si el cambio de poder que resulta de las elecciones presidenciales en México, tiene algún efecto sobre la industria manufacturera desagregada. Mediante el uso de series de tiempo, y un modelo autorregresivo con variables ficticias, se encontró que de las cuarenta y nueve ramas que integran la actividad económica de la industria manufacturera, veintinueve de ellas se ven afectadas por el evento político. Los resultados mostrados por las veintidós actividades indican que tres de ellas experimentan una contracción y cuatro, una expansión antes del cambio de poder; en tanto que catorce de ellas experimentan contracción, y solamente una presenta expansión después del cambio de poder.
