Matriz de insumo-producto de México para 1990

Abstract

En vista de la gran necesidad de disponer de matrices de insumo-producto recientes para todo tipo de análisis económico y, puesto que por el momento no se están realizando esfuerzos por armar una nueva matriz para México, se actualizó a 1990 la matriz de insumo-producto de 1980, elaborada por el Instituto Nacional de Estadística, Geografía e Informática (INEGI) y el Programa de las Naciones Unidas para el Desarrollo (PNUD). La actualización de la matriz se efectuó en 93 sectores; es decir, las 72 ramas de actividad de las Cuentas Nacionales, pero con las ramas de agricultura, ganadería y silvicultura desagregadas de acuerdo con el desglose de la matriz de insumo-producto posteriormente publicada por el INEGI, el PNUD y la Secretaría de Agricultura y Recursos Hidráulicos. En esta nota se presentan los resultados de la actualización de forma agregada. De hecho, las matrices se encuentran agregadas a 17 sectores de acuerdo con la clasificación en grandes divisiones y divisiones manufactureras de las Cuentas Nacionales. Las matrices presentadas comprenden una matriz de transacciones domésticas, una de importaciones y una de transacciones totales, cada una de ellas compatible con la información de las Cuentas Nacionales de 1990 recientemente revisadas.
