Abstract

Los trabajos y comentarios que se han reunido en este número especial de El Trimestre Económico fueron presentados en la primera reunión del Seminario Interamericano de Economía(SIAE/IASE), llevado a cabo en la ciudad de México en marzo de 1988. Este seminario. organizado por el National Bureau of Economic Research(Cambridge, Massachusetts) y la Pontificia Universidade Catolica do Rio de Janeiro, tiene como objetivo reunir anualmente a un grupo de economistas latinoamericanos y norteamericanos para discutir, en un ambiente académico, distintos temas de investigación sobre economía aplicada. El tema central de esta primera reunión auspiciada por el Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México(ITAM), fueron los diversos aspectos del problema de ajuste macroeconómico con crecimiento...
