Aproximaciones al empleo verde en el País Vasco: De las actividades medioambientales al potencial verde de las ocupaciones

Abstract

Este artículo analiza dos aproximaciones al concepto de empleo verde: el enfoque tradicional top-down, que clasifica los empleos en función de actividades y sectores, y un enfoque bottom-up, que los clasifica a partir de capacidades o tareas concretas. Se evalúan las implicaciones de ambas definiciones en el País Vasco, utilizando la Cuenta de Bienes y Servicios Medioambientales de Eustat (top-down) y el potencial verde de las ocupaciones desarrollado por Orkestra (bottom-up). Se concluye que una comprensión profunda de las ocupaciones y capacidades verdes requiere una visión amplia y flexible que puede englobar los dos enfoques mencionados. En el País Vasco, destaca el doble reto de contar con una proporción cada vez mayor de personas en empleos verdes y en ocupaciones potencialmente verdes para conseguir la sostenibilidad medioambiental.
