El empleo verde en Euskadi: un análisis basado en la Cuenta de Bienes y Servicios Ambientales

Abstract

Este artículo analiza en qué medida las oportunidades de creación de empleo asociadas a la transición ecológica se están materializando en el País Vasco. Para ello, utiliza la información de la Cuenta de Bienes y Servicios Ambientales elaborada por Eustat. El artículo presenta la evolución del empleo “verde” en el País Vasco para el periodo 2015-2021 y abarca las principales dimensiones de la transición ecológica relacionadas con la protección del medioambiente y con el uso más eficiente de los recursos naturales. Los resultados muestran que en 2021 se contabilizaron 21.384 empleos verdes, lo que representa un crecimiento del 38% desde 2015. El artículo incluye una valoración de las ventajas y las limitaciones de esta estadística de cara al seguimiento del empleo a lo largo de la transición ecológica.
