Localización de los Servicios Empresariales Intensivos en Conocimiento en regiones manufactureras: el caso del País Vasco y sus entornos urbanos

Abstract

Este artículo analiza los patrones de localización de los Servicios Empresariales Intensivos en Conocimiento (SEIC) en territorios manufactureros. El caso analizado es el de la Comunidad Autónoma del País Vasco y se explotan, principalmente, datos del Directorio de Actividades Económicas (DIRAE). El artículo concluye que, aun contando con un marcado carácter manufacturero, existen una serie de ventajas vinculadas a las economías de aglomeración que determinan la localización de los SEIC en los entornos urbanos. Se refuerza así la tesis de la «ventaja urbana». De todos modos, aunque los SEIC tengan, a priori, un carácter urbano, el tipo de SEIC (profesionales, tecnológicos o creativos) va a condicionar sus patrones de localización.
