Crecimiento económico y políticas para la inclusión social en Euskadi

Abstract

El modelo vasco de garantía de ingresos ha sido capaz de contener el crecimiento de la pobreza y de la desigualdad en Euskadi, sin comprometer la competitividad y la capacidad de generación de empleo de la economía vasca y sin generar un efecto adicional de atracción de población en situación de necesidad. De hecho, el sistema vasco de prestaciones es uno de los factores que explican la mejor posición socioeconómica comparada de esta comunidad. Este artículo describe las principales características del sistema vasco de garantía de ingresos e inclusión social, tanto desde el punto de vista de su alcance como de sus resultados, y analiza la relación que existe entre crecimiento económico, modelo productivo y desigualdad en Euskadi.
