Abstract

This paper analyses the process and content of labour market reform in Australia and New Zealand during the 1980s and evaluates the results of the differing aproaches adopted in both countries. A negotiated approach in the corporatist policy developed by the Australian Government as opposed to deregulation and pro-market policies foisted by the New Zealand Government.
