Abstract

Starting from some predictions concerning the challenges which companies must face in the nineties, this article presents a general panorama of the national electrical sector and the possible repercussions, for Iberduero and the sector, deriving from the new European energy scenario. This first part finishes with some reflections on the National Strategic Plan which is being approved at this time. The second part deals with Iberduero''''s «Company Project» for the nineties and describes the essential values and cultural principles which support this Project. Next, the general aims of Iberduero are reviewed for each of the five strategic areas of action which have been implemented in the Company. Finally, the article insists on the importance which the concept of «Permanent Innovation» has on this strategy of mobilisation of the company and gives the broad outline of the diversifying process initiated whithin the Iberduero Group in 1987.
