Competition and accumulation potential: a comment on Eduardo Guimarães’s thesis

Abstract

This note is both a review and a commentary on the recent “Acumulação eCrescimento da Firma” from Eduardo A. Guimarães. The theory exposed there is a generalone of the growth of the firm and the industry, with the central thesis that the firm is the locusof capital accumulation. Special attention is given to the analysis of the concept of competition. JEL Classification: L20; L22; D21; Y30.
