Evolução e características do emprego no setor bancário

Abstract

Este artigo analisa os efeitos de transformações recentes no sistema bancáriobrasileiro sobre o nível e a composição do emprego nesse setor. Indicamos as medidasadotadas pelos bancos para ajustar a baixos níveis de inflação e suas consequências sobre onível de emprego, a rotatividade e a distribuição espacial do pessoal. Também discutimos asmudanças no perfil dos funcionários associadas à intensificação da automação e mudançasno gerenciamento do processo de trabalho. Classificação JEL: J23; K01.
