Estimación de Pobreza para Bolivia para el año 2020 por trimestres

Abstract

Los indicadores de pobreza y desigualdad que se presentan en el país periódicamente corresponden a las cifras de la Encuesta de Hogares que se ejecuta a finales de cada año. Durante la cuarentena que se tuvo en el territorio nacional debido a la COVID-19, no se conocía el efecto que tuvo la paralización de actividades económicas en los ingresos de los hogares bolivianos entre marzo y diciembre de 2020. El documento, presenta una metodología para obtener indicadores de pobreza y desigualdad por trimestres para el año 2020. Los estimadores obtenidos permiten asegurar estadísticamente que la pobreza y desigualdad habrían aumentado principalmente en el segundo y tercer trimestre del año 2020. Para verificar ello, se realizan test de dominancia estocástica y test de significancia para los cuatro trimestres de la mencionada gestión.
