Mediterraneidad, Limitaciones Geográficas y Crecimiento Económico: Un Análisis de Panel de Datos para Economías Desarrolladas y en Desarrollo

Abstract

La literatura económica ha mostrado que los costos de transporte y el desarrollo económico mantienen una relación inversa debido a los elevados costos de las importaciones y el menor precio de las exportaciones. Éste es el caso de los países mediterráneos como Bolivia. En la presente investigación se desarrolló un modelo matemático de crecimiento económico que incorpora los costos de transporte. Utilizando un modelo de panel de datos dinámico para 90 economías, se observó que los países en desarrollo y mediterráneos mantuvieron resultados desfavorables en términos de crecimiento económico.
