Monetarna pozicija Republike Hrvatske u procesu prilagodbe te?ajnom mehanizmu ERM2

Abstract

Monetarni sustav Republike Hrvatske, iako relativno mlad, u posljednjih dvadeset godina prošao je kroz vrlo turbulentno razdoblje. U tom kontekstu, njegovo stvaranje i razvoj mogu se promatrati kroz dva desetogodišnja razdoblja: 1) razdoblje 1990. – 2000. obilježeno je uvo?enjem stabilizacijskog programa i dvjema bankarskim krizama, 2) razdoblje 2000. – 2010. obilježeno je previranjima u monetarnom sektoru i gospodarskom krizom koja je zapo?ela 2008. godine i u Hrvatskoj traje do danas. Aktualna struktura monetarnog sustava u najve?oj je mjeri odre?ena spomenutim trendovima, što u kona?nici uvjetuje i položaj nacionalne ekonomije u kontekstu njezina približavanja i prilagodbe završetku integracijskog procesa. U prvom dijelu rada analizirani se klju?ni momenti koji su obilježili razvoj doma?eg monetarnog sustava. Drugi dio rada nudi analizu postoje?e monetarne pozicije u kontekstu prilagodbe Hrvatske te?ajnom mehanizmu ERM 2, kao i osvrt na probleme s kojima je europski integracijski proces suo?en. Najve?i problemi tijekom ERM 2 faze mogu se o?ekivati u fiskalnim kriterijima konvergencije. S druge strane, problemi s kojima je suo?ena eurozona dovode u pitanje njihovu održivost.
