Duga, neizvjesna buducnost - Nedovoljan rast kao cijena

Abstract

Negativne demografske promjene – dramaticno produljenje životne dobi, nizak natalitet i visoka zaduženost teško ce opteretiti održivost javnih financija 14 istocnoeuropskih država koje trenutacno imaju najniže stope nataliteta u svijetu, buduci da je malo vjerojatno da ce se energicnije pozabaviti problemom sve veceg daljnjeg zaduživanja zbog izdataka za stare i nezaposlene osobe. Hrvatska, ima još jedan dodatan problem: zahvaljujuci svojoj izolaciji od svjetskih gospodarskih trendova u proteklih 15 godina – pocevši od egzodusa proizvodnje sa zapada na istok zbog nižih placa pa sve do tzv. »kolonijalizma suprotnog smjera« danas napadno hvaljenog u Aziji – ona je skoro izgubila svoju proizvodnu bazu, osnovni uvjet za prihvatljiv gospodarski rast.
