The future of patent information products

Abstract

The article discusses the online patent information products available at present and describes the information products which are about to be produced by the EPO or are planned for the near future. The latter include mixed mode products covering numerical and classified files on mainframe or CD-ROM. The problems of storage of 25 million documents and improvements necessary in workstations to make the new systems efficient are outlined.
