The Nigerian patent system and the new industrial policy

Abstract

This article focuses on the new industrial policy of Nigeria which marks a departure from the period of transfer of technology and import culture towards the development of an industrial base for the country. In the light of this policy the Nigerian patent system and patenting activities are discussed in relation to improved patent information services in the country.
