The EC green paper : What the future holds

Abstract

The EC Green Paper on telecommunications, published in 1987, confronted the regulatory framework for adoption in the context of 1992. This article suggest a way forward for deregulation in all areas of telecommunications, in both equipment and services. The author examines possible regulatory frameworks and argues that liberalization using the UK as a model is the most likely and most advisable course for the EC to follow.
